This is the second year of The Purple Day, a celebration of the life and music of North Minneapolis mega superstar Prince. Music will feature Dan Speak with performances from Maria Isa, LOSTINLEON, AFROPREACHA, BERI., and BDOTCROC. There will be food trucks, vendors, and fashion.

It will take place on Saturday, June 4, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Phyllis Wheatley field, located at 1301 10th Avenue North in Minneapolis.

This year’s Purple Day will also recognize the work and contributions from the Twin Cities Media community. The event is hosted by Smoke-N-Delite, with DJ Dan Speak providing the soundtrack and performances from Maria Isa, BDOTCROC and more.

Food trucks and various vendors will be on site, with raffles taking place all day for a chance to win cool products and prizes.
