Henderson is known for many scenes filed from Purple Rain including the infamous “That ain’t Lake Minnetonka.” scene. The small town is very quaint and very quiet, but a few times a year, they host Prince themed events and this is one of them.

Along with the festivities, there are a lot of quaint stores including the antique store Heart of Henderson that was previously a bank. They have used the vault in that old bank to showcase artwork and crafts from Prince fans including sketches, fashion, and various craftiness.

The event will be a celebration of Prince, and PLHP invites all purples to join us and Moises Suriel at The Prince Memorial in “Heart of Henderson” on Saturday, June 4th at 12 noon, for a one day “Princefest”.

Moises will be unveiling his latest addition to the Memorial…an indoor mural.  He will also have many of his Prince artworks for all to enjoy both Saturday and Sunday.

Joining Moises on Saturday will be Allen Beaulieu with his book, “Before the Rain”.   Also, Johnny Rogers will be singing a Tribute to Prince at “Heart of Henderson” immediately following the unveiling of the indoor mural from Moises.
